A colleague was reading this the other day. Being interested in all things Greek, I had to take a look. I also enjoyed Frayn's play Copenhagen, and always give his new work a chance. Frayn is a seriocomic writer and the winner of many literary awards (including the Whitbread Award). I have just waded into this one and it seems very lightweight (in a good way)--a book to take on vacation. It seems a little Pynchon-esque with it's outlandish situations and characters. Michael Dirda really liked it.
